25 HP Mercury Prop

I have a small 14 ft Aluminum boat stick steer with a 25HP Mercury 4 Stroke. Currently I have a 3 blade 11 Pitch aluminum prop and I am only able to run at 26 MPH. To get more top end speed what does anyone recommend for a prop and pitch. I would like to upgrade to stainless, recommendations please, thanks

I have that same motor on one of my duck hunting boats . Great little engine . ? Do you have power trim . Does th little red light come on when you run it wide open . If the red light comes on at wide open then you need the next pitch bigger . If it doesn't then That's the pitch you need to stay with . The stainless prop will make how it runs all around better .

I have a 2 stroke 25 merc on my 14' flat bottom and run a aluminum 12 and 13 pitch, I have no tac either but both props run within 1 MPH of each other 25-27 MPH depending on conditions, My guess is if it it planes out OK you have the right pitch

I run a 9 pitch on my 25. Takes a bit to get on plane but it gives the most top end. Hole shot isn't important on the HP restricted lakes I fish.
