tilt and trim switch for 2000 Yamaha C70TLRY

I have a 2000 hp 170. Im sure you know from my other threads. I am missing the tilt and trim for my motor. I can only find the switch for the throttle handle.

    thanks Ray

Try looking up part number 703-82563-01-00 for the tilt and trim switch on the side of the motor. Boats.net had it listed for ~$62.

    Roberte,

I look up the part number on boats.net and it shows it goes on the control handle. Will it also work for the motor? Just want to confirm?
    here is the diagram.

Pull up the diagram of the engine, should be a part number for it. Possibly the same one. The biggest difference would be the size, or bezel around it.
Have you asked this question on the "stock Yamaha" thread?

I have asked. Apparently my motor doesnt come with one for the lower cowling. I just ordered one from my control lever and going to try and mount it on the lower cowl.

A dremel type tool should do the job!

Just wanted to update my post. I couldnt use the trim switch. Ended having a shop wire a water resistant toggle switch to the back of the boat.
