    Axiom nmea 2000 with mercury

Has anyone used the Mercury NMEA Gateway to the NMEA 2000 input on the Axiom yet? Wondering if and how it works? I'm trying to decide between viewing engine data on the Axiom or utilizing the mercury vessel view bluetooth module. I know the bluetooth module shows some diagnostics, Not sure it the Axiom will. Any info would be appreciated.

I have a es128 on my boat networked in with my Honda gauges. Just add another Tee and run it to the unit.
I have gotten warnings pop up on the unit saying it was hot when I got grass over the water intake. I believe it will show what ever the engine is programmed to display.

Thanks Hickory, I'd like to find more information on this subject. I know on Lowrance you can control rpm also, will this be available on Axiom?

"Troll Control", with the smartcraft gauges you can set the mercury engine to run at a certain rpm and it will maintain that rpm setting. Used for trolling speeds

Smartcraft / Troll control isn't the same as using a Lowrance to control - is it??

Looks as though you can set the rpm's from the Lowrance unit with the Vessel View linked to it.....didnt realize it but did a search on Youtube and found a few video's....

Yes, that's what I was talking about. Not big deal but wanted to know if there's any plans. I just want engine data for fuel burn and engine hours.
