Looking for advice to re-carpet hp170

I will be tackling to redo my carpet in my hp170 myself. Any pointers on what adhesive to use to glue the carpet to the boat? Suggestions on what thickness carpet to buy and whats a good place to buy it from?

Are you going to put a pad under it? Like the glass boats? Or is the deck comfy enough with carpet?

I've been researching this topic for my HP180. I like the 20 and 24oz carpet here;

I'm also considering padding just the bow area from the seat base forward as well as new seats. It may be next year for me.

I believe the deck is comfy enough with the shitty carpet. I might get 24oz. Just looking for pointers. The entire boat, and all the doors are riveted.
