As it says getting ready for my 3rd set of seal for 2007 1e002504 1.62-1 t/m in three years factory lasted till 2014 first set I changed all myself 2nd set was changed at mecury dealer thinking I might have made a mistake after a year they replaced all serviceable bearings as they were pitted this year I do a service and again has water what gives I am thinking now there might be something more wrong like input or out shaft bent or shift link can I be missing something I would think they would check the runout of both shafts before they called but u guys have an idea or did I cover it? Tomorrow I will put my radiator pressure tester on it and see where the leak is from.

When you change gear case oil, are you draining 1-2oz after new oil starts coming out of vent hole??

It would be good to know WHICH seal was defective each time you had water intrusion, as there are many seals in a lower unit.

Ok, it is recommended to drain a few oz. on the TM1 to allow for expansion so it does no blow seals. I know Tim Powell had issues, especially making long runs in his 21xc with motor above 1/2" below. This may not be your problem, just an idea.
