Went today after chemo treatments (couldn't miss a chance at this) just to see what might happen before, during and after. Well I got on the water at 12:30 and the bite was soft and slow and around 4ft in 10ft of water. I caught 1 keeper, a few dink's and lost 2. During the 80% coverage NO bites but the temp dropped a bit and everything got REALLY quiet. As it got brighter when the moon passed the bite picked up, 8 keepers, 5 dink's and lost a few more that knew their way around those tops better than me. All those came from 8ft to 9ft in that same 10ft of water. I left at 3:30 due to the heat and just not feeling up to it anymore. Glad I was able to fish the Eclipse of 2017 and had a pretty good supper tonight to boot.
