Had 2:15 worth of totality here; once in a lifetime thing to see, but I was a little disappointed on how dark it didn't get. No birds chirping, no animals doing crazy things. I set off some fireworks, but it really wasn't dark enough to enjoy them.

"Do not believe everything you read or see on the internet" -- Abraham Lincoln.
interesting event, but as usual media dribble and people trying to make money off of it over hyped the crap out of it. We only had about 70% coverage. Was no darker than a cloud cover and then it started raining.
We were outside BS'ing with the neighbors. Tossed a few burgers on the grill and had a few barley pops with them. We had fun. I guess it was about 90% but if you didn't know there was an eclipse you'd have missed it. Makes you appreciate how bright that gas ball really is.
While the eclipse was pretty spectacular, it was even more spectacular my 8 yr old granddaughter was super excited and during total eclipse was in awe of the universe. Glad I got to share it with her
What eclipse, never heard a thing about it?
Not real exciting here in FL, still neat, but if you didn't know it was going on, then you would have never known. Only cool thing was, when you were in the sun, it felt like there was a cloud even though it was bright sun. I thought it would get much darker here though...
Just south of Nashville in Franklin we didn't get totality, there was a little sliver left. Still it was very cool. The birds were acting funny.
Total eclipse here. Dark enough could see several stars off to the side
~85% coverage here... Light intensity reminded me of when air has a lot of smoke from farmers burning corn stubble... Heard a rooster crow a couple times.
I shaved my legs for this?
Who controls John Gill?
It was over hyped. Gets darker before a storm.
Went to my kids school to view it. Not impressed at all.
Kinda like dusk here, some crickets started chirping
In Portland Tn. Total eclipse. Awesome view. Everything was pretty silent. Saw a dove shagging tail during totality as if it were late for roost.
I would be very disappointed if I had spent hundreds or thousands of dollars like some folks did for travel and such
It was total darkness here in Columbia SC. It was pretty neat. The wierdest thing was that hoods of black cars got cool to the touch. My 9 year olds birthday today too. She is convinced it was because of that.. Lol. priceless.
It was OK, we had 96%. Got dark in the house for sure.
Great show. I came back home. It was to friggen hot and humid to fish. 2 min and 20 seconds of totality at my house. Had hoped to see some stars but saw none. Cicada's started singing, street lights came on. Can't wait for the next one in 2024.
We got 89 percent here in Tallahassee. It stayed hot as blue blazes and it just looked like you had sunglasses on. Oddly enough the four year old granddaughter was the only one of the six that got all excited about it. All of them were more excited about the Moon Pies and Sun Chips. I was disappointed that my son-in-law had already drunk all of the Corona.
Sick, tired, hungry, broke, busted, disgusted, can't be trusted, been imposed on and won't fight
Only had about 90% coverage here. With a little cloud cover. If i didnt know that today the solar eclipse was happening i just would of thought it was a normal day.
