So I bought a 618 back in early July and have been fishing out of it in a couple of small tournament circuits in Minnesota . Haven't really had it out in big wave before this last weekend.
Now I've had a number of different boat brands over the years and this weekend this little Phoenix really impressed the heck out of me. The Chain of lakes we fished had rollers in the 3-4 foot area from all the cabin cruisers , wake boats, Ski boats , Jet ski's etc ( You get the idea) . Were running back to the weigh in and I'm expecting the back jarring slap you occasionally get not matter how good a driver you are
and this boat just gently settled down every time. I looked at my partner in amazement and just laughed. This is the best riding rig I've been in and I've been in a bunch either as a boater or back seater
This might be the best decision I ever made and this being my retirement boat that's a good thing.
