Did they change up the livewell at all from the small one in the 2015-2017 models?

I'm sure you could get 20. Especially if you remove the butt ramp.

Actually they changed them in 2016. So now 2016 an up.

Not sure I like the new layout. I will have to get on one and try it out before deciding. Is this only going to be on the ZX models or on the FX also?

If you had rods in the maga rod tube on both sides, how would you EASILY get the (1 of the 17) tackle trays out of the center???

would be hard with both sides full of rods. but if you only had about 13 plano boxes that would make it alot easier.

Stack them with latches facing left/right order instead of front/ back

Don't underrate those day boxes though. They hold tons of stuff.

Nobody mentioned it, but this layout added a lot of support on the front deck. This deck does not flex like the single large storage box door on the 17 does. Before you say yours doesn't flex, watch it the next time a 220 pounder walks across it. I love the new layout, I would upgrade to Carbon graphs at time of purchase and have them networked to read engine vitals. Second pole and call it done.

I have no fear that the center box is strong enough to hold me up... And double that when the back deck comes up front.... No doubt the new layout adds support but I like having that box open.... No obstructions....easier to get in and out...

Anyone know if the mega rod tube on the port side box is easily removable so it is just wide open?

I have my new 2018 on order. I ordered it with the upgrade to an Ultrex. Adding a second 9 elite (double stacked) to the front with total scan, this will allow me to have side and down image up front. Yes I will need to have 2 nav. cards but will still be able to share waypoints. Added point one, and a second pole.
