HB 360 power cable

The power cable that came with my new Utrex 360 has three wires. One red, two black. What's the purpose of he second black wire and which do I use to connect 12v power ? The manual is totally lacking on describing these wires.

One of the black wires is actually heat shrink over the cable shield strands. Look closely and you can tell which is which.

No connection to shrink covered wire.

The manual Section 3 paragraph 5a and 5b has the power connections and paragraph 6 states to tape the drain wire.

The one with the tag on it/and or no stripped insulation.
