    Measuring length of TM

What two points do you measure from when your getting the length on a MK or MG troll motor?

For instance, when you see a TM for sale & it's a 42", just wondering how that's measured....?

From the bottom of the head to the top of the lower unit -- but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. For instance, the 42" Maxxum and the 45" Fortrex MinnKota both use a shaft that is 43 3/4" long. The shaft of a 45" Ultrex is 48" long. On Motorguide, a 42" is 42" long, the 45" is 45" long (from end to end)

So, would a 60" MK Ultrex be comparable to my 60" Fortrex?
