I heard there were 2 stringers over 15lbs 2 in the 14lb range paid 17 places taking 11 & some change to draw a check...

Correct. We got 16th place. I think they had around 80 boats. It was a good turn out.

Doug McClung and his partner won it, I believe with 15.5 lbs..had 85 boats, biggest turnout in a tourney in a while. I was fishing just off Bayou Sorrel , and I saw two guys in a bullet cutting across to a canal, and they were headed right for an underwater stump row. I saw them try to sit down, and then Wham! I though they were gonna fly outta the boat. If that didn't hurt the motor or transom, I would be very surprised.
