    Couple questions

I bought a '13 cougar ae with 250 pro xs back in March. Now that im getting where I can drive it, I got some prop questions. Currently running a fury3 26p. The prop was about 2 3/4 below pad when I got it and it runs really good like that just hard to control and blows out bad during hole shot. By blow out I mean not getting into it at all for the first 100 yards or so and on top end you have to be careful not to ride the rev limiter. I messed with the motor height and found about 3" below is to my liking. Very little prop blowout, but I'm still Hitting 6200 at 78 or 79. Boat absolutely flies out the hole. My question is would going to a 27 pitch help or hurt me? Also kinda different topic, but has anyone added padding under the carpet just under the section by Tm pedal?

Have you tried dropping it just a bit more? It would be worth a shot...you may gain speed and lower rpm at the same time.

That's what I would try, drop it 1/4" more and see what happens.

You might want to try a 26 fury 4 blade.
