Anyone have an ultrex on their Nitro yet?

Going to pick one up when they become available again and was wondering what length y'all might have.

I would suggest 52" if you fish rough water

Is that what you have. I have a 901. I do fish Lake Conroe and Sam Rayburn the most. Sometimes fairly big waves

I have the 45" on my Z7 Sport F&S. I don't fish a lot of big water except Toledo bend and haven't had any issues. I love using it to fish my hometown rivers. Spot lock is awesome for fishing in the current and offshore humps/structure. It is by far my favorite investment yet!

45" on my z8. Havent fished super rough water yet other then the occasional huge pleasure boat going by. I agree if you fish big water get the 52"

Had the 52" Fortrex originally on boat and switched to 52" Ultrex this year. Probably depends whether you fish a lot of shallow water but the extra length is great in rough water either from weather or a lot of boat traffic....LOL

52" on my Z21 and it works great! If you need to be shallow just raise it up. Only takes a second

Thanks for all the replies. That's what I was leaning toward. Extra length

I have a 2017 Z19. I had them put a 60" on mine. I fish west Texas mostly. Lots of wind. I would suggest longer especially on the lakes you mentioned. Either way the Ultrex is the baddest, most revolutionary piece of technology in a good while.

It's not the length of the shaft that matters. It's how you use it. I like to fish shallow so a 45" is perfect for me. There's a guy in my neighborhood that has a 52" shaft. My wife said that size doesn't matter, but she keeps looking at my neighbors 52".

Any trouble getting the pedal to fit in the recessed area? I thought I has heard it wouldn't fit in some of the nitros.

Yes...check the measurements. If you want the pedal to sit flat, may need to modify or replace existing tray.

Just installed in my 2013 Z9. Had to modify the tray to get it to fit. PM me if you would like pics or details on what worked for me.
