Time for a new climbing stand.

I hunt out of a summit climber and I'm starting to look for my wife a climber. Is there anything new on the market I should look at? I noticed that Muddy has a climber called the stalker but after reading archerytalk I learned that they had been bought out so I don't know how the quality is. It a priced right at 199 bucks though. I know lone wolf is the cats meow but I don't want to drop that kind of coin.

I love my summit. I dont know why everyone likes the lonewolf, i bought the top of the line lonewolf about 4 years ago and took it back after ingot it home and climbed up a tree. My summit goliath is much more comfortable and has more room.

Another vote for Summit. Have owned and hunted out of about every brand out there over the last 30 years. I like Summit the best.

I have a Summit Viper that I've had for years and is a great stand, but heavy. I have a terrible fear of heights and this is one stand that I do feel secure in. That being said, however, I have a friend that has an X-stand, not sure of the model, and I think that'll be my next stand. It is also quite secure and about 10 lbs less than my Summit. I'd give them a look, too.

I have a Summit and like it OK but I have an older Cougar Claw and it fits me the best. Super comfortable seat.

I'm still using a API Bowhunter and an API Shootin Star. I just can't bring myself to buy another brand.

X stand is one I've wondered about. I would like to see one in person.

I haven't climbed on, but seen one, looks quite nice. I'd have to test one, I REALLY don't like heights.

You nailed that. Lone wolf may make a good lock on but their climing stands are not anywhere near as good or as simple as the Summit.

I worked for Summit for a while in 05 and I loved the job... But.... I'm not a fan of the stands.. Maybe it was seeing so many of them, knowing what each ones issues are maybe but....I prefer a fixed platform stand over a folding one, and I prefer the API grand slam over anything else... I've got 3 of them and one ol man climber...
