    Bumping vmax 150 to 175

Since the 150 and 175 are the same block, bore and stroke. What does it take to bump a 150 to 175. How much change in prop pitch would be needed to keep the RPMs down. I think the current prop is a 25 pitch. 6" jack plate. I am currently running 58-61 mph GPS at 5300 rpm with a heavy load. This is on a 04 Champion187 The vmax is 04 also.

i dont know if the 175 has carbs. but the 2.6L can get 200 hp carbs and they are pretty common. just make sure you jet it right. too lean and very bad things happen.

    carb'd 150....
Had heads done by Bob Kottman....but you can get Hydrotec heads...
-225 excel tuner, divider plate and plates that sit between the block and the lower unit.
-carbs off older 200 or excel. Jetted around 170's to start...

    150 has a 2.0 gearcase...the 175 and 200's are not....so my 150 pulled a worked 27M with ease on my Skeeter....
