2018 Eyra set up. Help Bass cat

I took my new Eyra out for break in yesterday. On take off the prop is blowing out while getting on plane. It has a 26 fury with no plugs in the prop. The manual jack plate is set where Bass Cat set it from the factory. What set up have y'all found successful? The boat has four batteries and no poles.

We don't know where the plate is, though it could be in need of a PVS plug or lowering, and maybe even a 25" prop.

A slight prop blow out when coming out the hole is normal.
If it blows out and the RPM's climb to high for to long you may try lowering the
Jackplate. Move it down 1/4 inch at a time.
Normally you only adjust jackplate height for performance, and add plugs in the prop for blowout.
But I know of no Fury props with plugs.

Yes it is a 250 pro xs. The prop shaft is 2.5 inches below pad. About the time the boat is breaking over the prop blows out and you have to baby it to get it over.

We assume the PVS plugs are all out, and that if you hold the throttle down for more than 1 second it does not come through the slippage.

I had the same problem with my Cougar. Messed with the jack plate to no avail. Finally went back to the factory settings and focused on the plugs and that improved the situation a lot. Got it fine tuned but it still had to be modulated at break over but was very workable.

The pvs plugs need to be tried in various configurations. That will likely cure your problem.

Sounds like it could come down 1/2" or so

i have an Eyra, with a 225hp, my jackplate is just below flush. It goes a little faster at flush, but I have more steering wheel torque than i would like, so I stay just below flush.

"Flush" regrading the jack plate is a non specific term depending upon when the motor is mounted on it. For a true comparison, the measurement should be taken from the pad to the floor it sits on, and from the center of the prop shaft from the floor as well with both level with the floor using some leveling device.

I'd try the plugs, but from all that I have read, the Fury 3 likes to be a little lower than some other props, so if the plugs don't help, I'd drop it 1/2 inch and go up or down from there in 1/4 inch increments.

Thanks every one. I dropped it a quarter inch and added a plug. Plan to take it out in the morning and try it out. I will post updates.

Got a few hours on it now. I tried a plug and lowered it about a 1/2 inch and hole shot is better. It has a 26 fury, I can't get it above 5300 rpms. Air temp 85 and humid and water temp 83

I assume you're running it with the trim full down during break in period, I'd think that's about normal.

4.5 hours on motor. Motor height is flush on plate where the factory put it. I installed 2 PVS plugs with the large holes. Prop blows out just a little on break over which is fine. Motor will not get over 5300 RPMs. It will run 68-70 at 5200 rpms. If you bump the trim up more it will get to 5300 but boat is not drivable. I'm seeing guys post about driving the eyras at 72-75 with no chine walk at all. Is the motor height wrong or prop wrong to only get 5300 rpms?
