where to fish in NW Indiana

Hey all, just moved to NW Indiana, looking for places to launch the boat and fish. Have had a few places recommended, but more is always good. In the Crown Point area. Thanks in advance for the help

Lake Michigan. I live on a private lake, but outside of that I'd rather fish Lake Michigan than any other place. Now if you want to drive some you can fish Wawasee/Syracuse. Kuntz lake, but haven't fished that in years, so not sure how good it is.

Pine is wide open, stone, clear, and long are 10mph, worster is eletric only, but you can have your outboard just cant use it. There is also hudson lake and it's wide open. It's between south Bend and Michigan city.

What are some of the best launches on Long Lake in Valpo, or on Pine & Stone in LaPorte? Also when fishing LM, where do you guys launch?

    Lake George in Hobart
    Willow Slough in Morocco
Kankakee River launch on rt 55 or off rt 41

There is only one launch on Long Lake you can find it on Google Map.
Last time I was out on Pine and Stone I remember launching for free on Stone. I think Hubbard's owns the ramp on Pine. I think it 12 to launch maybe 15.

Pine and stone are connected by a channel that you can pass through. stone is run by the dnr and is free as stated. Pine charges as also stated and is owned by hubers marina. for long lake you come down meridan off of highway six heading south and turn left on 600N. when you get to the fork stay left, it should say dead end. that will take you to the launch. The parking area is small so go early. There is a channel on long lake that takes you to another small lake thats called Canada lake. You can see it on google maps.

    Cedar Lake, too.

Lake George is 10 mph and shallow, so watch yourself if you go there. I live about 5 minutes from the ramp.

Plymouth has several lakes just south of town.
Koontz Lake is wide open and nice
Maxi is good - Culver is south of Plymouth

I'm not him, but I fished the Inland Steel and US Steel breakwalls out of Pastrick Marina in Hammond. If you get there real early, you can launch free, but after the first 10 or so they hit you for a good buck to launch, but it's nice and close to the walls.
