    Fury 4 Blade

Guys has anyone tried the Fury 4 Blade on any of the Triton TR hulls like 2002 TR 20 225 Opti and older . I loved the 4 Blade Trophy Plus but I would sling a blade every 2 years or so . I moved to a Fury 3 Blade 26P for the last 4 or 5 years no issues . I really want to see if the Fury 4 gets the lift and the speed ??

So far people have generally liked the Fury 4 on several hulls including me. Seems like it has a ton of stern lift..not sure how it would do on a Triton though.

Every one says go pitch for pitch so you'd need a 26". I run a trophy on my TR 21 but you can't run them high or they break, I've also got a 27 Pro Max that runs close to the trophy and can be ran higher and still keep the blades but the hole shot isn't that great.

I use to run the Trophy Plus but like mdtritn21 said I lost a blade about every 2 years . Fury 3 has been good so far about 5 years now . It just does not lift the front like a 4 blade . I was hoping the 4 Blade Fury would be good .

It'll get you the lift if that's your main concern.

A tempest will lift the bow better than a Fury 3 blade any day unless you have the fury worked to give you bow lift.

The Tempest has been the best all around prop for my buddies TR20X we've found so far.

May I ask what you mean by "slung blades"? I just bought the Fury 4 24P for my 2004 Triton TR20X, Opti 225. I plan to try it out tomorrow morning....

Just means a blade on the prop breaks off for no apparent reason other than workmanship...you feel a strong vibration if it happens. Trophys are known to do this as well if you get them too high on the jackplate. You may never have a problem with yours....just stating what I have witnessed.

Heard of bravos throwing blades due to being run shallow, never read about a fury throwing them.

They were probably running it too high and surfacing the prop. If the prop isn't made to surface it won't last.

It's interesting you mentioned this. My buddy had a brand new 2017 225 Pro XS put on his TR20X recently and they put the Fury 4 on it and told him it was ready to go. They even told him they raised the motor a little because the gen 2 torque masters like to run a little higher. After we slung a blade on the Fury after about 20 hrs he called the dealership and they told him to return it and they'll send it back along with the 3 other one's sitting on the floor with the same problem. He went back with a new Tempest and had it shipped directly to Mark to work. In the meantime we measured the prop to pad and it was sitting 4" below the pad. We raised it to 2 1/2 below pad and the Tempest performs very well. The Fury performed pretty good (even at 4' below pad) as well.....it just scared him and he never had a problem with his old motor running a Tempest.

So I tried my new Fury 24P 4 blade today on my 2004 Triton TR20X, 2008 Merc Opti 225. I can't tell you how unbelievable it reacted on my boat. It literally jumped my boat out of the water on plane. It was incredible. I filled live wells too and it was just a second or two longer to jump up. I currently had run a trophy 25P and it did not even come close to this one. I messed with prop to pad, PVC holes and never could get it to perform like this one. I will know more tomorrow about top end and overall performance after going on our 'big lake' Winnipesaukee. Will let you know how it performs.

I found the Fury 4 to be a holeshot monster, best performing prop all the way around and I didnt lose anything on top end from a 25p tempest worked by Mark.

I'm pretty happy with my fury 4. Tr-21x standard 225. I think the bobs action series really helps.
