2006 201 pro xl with 225 pro xs. Need prop help

Hey for you guys running the 201 pro xl with a 225 pro xs what numbers are you getting and what's your best setup?

My buddy ran a 25 Trophy on his 201/225 Merc. It ran very good with that setup. Good all around combination.

I have a 201PE with a 225efi. 24 trophy plus works well for me.

i would try a 24p bravo 1 with 8 vent holes--works really good on my boat with twin talons-- i would also call marks propellors and ask him for advice so you dont waste money on bad choices--or try mike lohn on set up/props board as he knows almost as much as mark does about props

Have an 08 running a 25 three blade fury 6 inch manual plate at around 31/4. Have ran72 but 70 in our hot Oklahoma weather is more common. Great holeshot

That's what this boat has on it now is a 25p fury prop. so that gives me a good idea. Thanks for your reply!

I would say a 26 p Tempest plus @ 2.75 below pad .....most of the 26 p where off bad new out of the box ,may need to be worked .
And a Bravo 1 XS 25 p also would be a good choice with a 250 Pro XS

Thinking more about the above post . I just brought a Bravo 1 Xs 25p from a fellow that was running it on his 2017 Ranger Z521 250 Sporty XS @ 69.8 gps .
The Ranger is bigger the Stratos 201 pro ....i would go with a 25.5 or 26 P Bravo 1 with a 250 motor .

I think he going to try a 25P Fury 4 as he has added poles and a ton of weight . He going to fish FLW Costa's

I don't know him personally , i was just chatting with him on the board he was selling the prop . You may know him .He went by BlackStroker , here. He sold the boat and bought a new Ranger Z521 . He is in Wisconsin. He was chatting with the guy's over there after the Ranger dealer meeting .

Well finally got to run my boat and with the 25p fury and 3/4 tank of gas and all my tackle shop in the boat. It ran 70.7 @ 5600 rpms. Holeshot is really quick even with dual 12ft talons

ok so new numbers after running it yesterday, @ 5700 rpms I hit 72.2 with same as the post on 09/03. This is with a 25p fury 3 blade. I'm thinking that I can go up 1/2" or so on the plate and try a 26p. What you guys think?

You still have some rpm's left. Just raise it 1/2" and see how it runs before swapping props.

Yup, get that between 5850-6050 and hit that sweet spot. 1/2" should get you there, but Furys usually like to be run a hair deeper than other props.
