Blinking power button

I have a 2007 20i. I took in out today and all was good until today. I pushed power button to on and the light in button is now flashing off/on. Pushing the button does not turn off power. The only way to turn off power is disconnect the battery and power button goes off.
Any ideas what I can do to get power button to work properly again?

Need to reset breaker. Press power button and hold in for 3-5 sec, should reset. If not, then the brain box, located under rear, starboard quarter panel may be bad.
