    Alternate Livewell Lights

With so many holes already in livewells (aerator, fill, overflow, recirc., drains) etc., anyone ever just crack a chemstick and drop it in? I'm reluctant to drill any more holes. Just wondering.

Sounds great to me. I also use the small round " tap " lights. Easy to stick on and no more holes.

@crank68: Yeah been looking at those....that's what got me to thinkin' bout drillin' more darned holes! They look awesome though, and I need them since my livewells are gray and very deep. With stained water, I can't see the bottom!

I put em in mine...no issues at all. I have a customers boat (Triton) I'll be installing them in on a few weeks. Give me a shout to discuss your install if needed.

White 5050 LED strips off eBay is what I have they work good and only need an 1/8" hole. A dab of silicone bam!

I run bluewater leds in mine as well. Bought the full compartment kit on the yearly closeout/scratch and dent sale. Should be coming up soon. If uou arent in a hurry its worth waiting for. But thats if ya wanna drill.

I have a 2014 Tracker Pro Team 175 TXW. There is space under the livewell where I mounted a strip of LED 5050 lights on an aluminum flat stock strip(1/4" wide x 1/8"). No holes at all!! Light shines up from the bottom of the livewell. Works great!

On the front livewell, I ran the same type of LEDs on a aluminum angle stock. There is not room under the front livewell so the LEDs shine from the side on the aluminum angle. Lights up the livewell just fine.
