I thought it appropriate that my first post be a picture of my new boat!

2009 294 XLE w/ 200 Etec HO.

Had it out twice so far in the past two weeks (I live in eastern Canada so the ice only came off the lakes a few weeks ago, which is way early for us). Have not had it WOT yet - have owned a tin boat w/ a 150 HP for 6 years so I'm getting used to the handling before opening her up.

04 Johnson 150 h.p, under powered for the size of the boat, but i still manage mid 50's with a full tourny load, boat came rigged this way, so i can upgrade in the future to a 225 H.o

A 150's nothing to sneeze at ;) I'm sure a 225 would put you well into the 70's which is always good for gettin to the hole 1st...

24p Raker Prop, Hummingbird Electronics. Boat & Motor all orginal. My father
gave it to me before he passed away last fall. Still looks & runs like new.

Thanks "nsane", Dad bought new and after he retired in 96, he used it at least once a month until he got sick in 2006. He was very picky about cleaning it after every outing and was always garage kept. I'm thankful to have it and hope to carry on his picky habits.

Just picked up this 97 400SDC a few weeks ago for 8500...Have had it out once and the ride was great...ran it up to 70 and backed out, felt like it was still pulling a lil but was getting close to boat ramp area...Cant wait to get it back on the lake!!
