    Carpet glue on aluminum lids???

    I have re carpeted a basscat with fiberglass lids. My question is fo u use same glue on aluminum lids? Fixing to do a stratos. Which glue is best

    Henry outdoor carpet glue,put it down with a toothed trowel.

    I used Weldwood Contact Cement on my Gambler 5 years ago and have experienced zero adhesive failures.

    Wildwood Contact Cement or 3M Spray. Both seem to work very well.

    This is what I did. I used Henry's to gain some working time to get my lid positioned right on the carpet. I just used this on the top side of the lid. After I had it set where I wanted it, I rolled it with a small roller. Then I flipped it over and put weights on it overnight. Came back the next day and used the weldwood contact cement around the edges of the lid.

    Wildwood on the exterior, and 3M on the interior lips where you fold the carpet in.
