I know this is a stupid question but are backtrack trailers made out of aluminum? I can't find an answer anywhere lol

All of it except the axel at least my 2006 for the X21TS. My son's X18 does have a steel trailer (2001 or 02??)

Thanks, I have to get a side step welded and wanted to see if I needed someone who could weld aluminum.

Most likely yours is aluminum. It was somewhere in the early to mid 2000's when they switched from steel to aluminum.

With that said ....... my 2005 H-50 DB had a factory steel galvanized trailer under it. So who knows what's under yours.

If you could post a picture of it, we might can tell for sure. But like Warren said, his is and there's a good chance yours is too.
