Yeah, saw it on Facebook. Never would have thought the new ones were that much bulkier.
Wow, I had to go back and check the beam on the 202. I thought it was greater than 90".
Interesting that he is running a 4 blade....

I love the size of the 202 and better yet any motor you can hang on the Charger210 you can hang on the 202 as well.
I've been jonesing for a wide body 210 to someday replace my 203, but looking at it now, I'm not sure it would fit in my garage. That thing looks huge!
Too bad there wasn't a 201 available for the picture.
Yup. the 210 is a beast of a boat. Cool picture.
ONE DAY....
^It's a glandular issue.
Cool photos. The 210's are big boats. I remember having my old Skeeter in my garage one day, then the 206 the next. It was a huge difference!

big, beautiful and new, no doubt. Something about the more trim, could say sleek older design though, still very appealing to me. Hard to believe that the new rig could handle anything like the older narrow beam boats just on sheer size, but I guess it's also an apples to oranges comparison.
Just out of curiosity, did Champion stick with the narrow beam design for any particular length of time past when other companies were adopting the "beam forward" or overall wider beam designs? Was Champ know for a more skinny boat compared to other brands back in the hey-day, or were they all about the same?

Thats my buddy's boats and the 202 is going to be for sale soon. BTW it's a 1996. The 202 is a dog out of the hole with the Talon on it but he'll probably take it off to sell the boat. The shape of the 202 in th e aft allows the Talon bracket to stick out into open wate and act like a giant plow. I took the maiden voyage with him in the 210 yesterday and it suffers on the hole shot as well with the heavy talons. We tried different plate heights and nothing helped. It came with a 24 Tempest and we will be trying different props to find what works best. We have a 24 Fury, 25 Fury, 25 Trophy and a worked 25 Trophy that has more cup to try. I'm thinking a 25 Bravo 1 may be a good choice as well but have to find one to try. We will see. Maybe even a 24 Croxton 4 blade but again we would need to find one.
That boat is a beast though for sure and if you like fishing docks like we have here ( close together often ) then you're out of luck. It will be a good boat for our rough ass Upper Chesapeake and Potomac though.
Maybe Mark would like to get in on figuring out what prop works best for this barge with dual Talons attached.

These are my boats. The 210 is a beast! I didn't realise just how big a boat it was from the pictures and to some extent when I first saw it until I backed it in my driveway next to my 202. It makes my 202 look like a toy! Tom us right though about it being slow on the Holeshot with this prop./duel talons. Its definitely going to take a lot if seat time to get use to running this thing. Hopefully we can get the right prop figured out. As Tom said, the 202 is for sale. I have a club member that's looking into financing and going to let me know in a week or so if he can get it, after that I will post it here if he spent buy it.
I'm also wondering if my tractor is going to fit in my garage with the 210 like my 202 does. Lol
I hope you enjoy that 210, that was my demo for 2017. You got one heck of a deal on that one!
So far so good Thurman!
