New Helix

Morning all....i currently have a helix 10 gen 1 with a couple of core units.....wanting to update with an additional 10 and 12 mega units....my question is will the gen 1 helix work and share everything with the new mega units....i currently have them all networked....the gen 1 helix is an si unit.....Thanks all

I think you can network and share most stuff. I believe what you can't do is view the mega version image on the gen 1 u it.

So I can you side imaging and down imaging thru the same transducer but will just veiw it in less frequency just not mega....correct...or do I need a second transducer....?

That's correct. Can share 455 and 800khz but not MEGA. Be sure and turn off SONAR on the Helix G1 unit with no transducer connected and then setup sharing under network settings.

The MEGA unit MUST have Chirp shut off to talk to a Gen1 - I have 2D Chirp on 3 of four units & wish HB would release an update to allow all Chirp to share to Gen 1....ALL around.

If sharing imaging Gen 1 to G2N, it has to be straight 455 or 800.
