    Expectations 202DC

What kinda speeds should I expect out of a 2000 202prov dc. It has a 2000 Yamaha vmax 225 with a stock L/U. Just wanting to know the potential speeds of a fully tournament loaded boat. Thanks!

Mid 70s depending on load, set up, and driver ability.

Driver ability has been the limiting factor on our 2000 202 dc. Running a 250 Pxs. 65 best so far plenty of throttle and trim left. The ability part is a slow process for us.

You have to learn to drive the boat with your butt and not your eyes.

Driver ability the limiter on mine as well. 225 Pro XS on a 202 dual console, pretty novice but the first time I took it out I got right to 70 on the dot after a few passes. Running a 25p OT4. I know, I need to get a 27. Chine walking like crazy but I'm starting to learn it and can ride pretty level now. Those first couple passes though... wonder I didn't flip I was walking so bad. Got water in my gas that very day and have been working those issues for 2 months now. Itching for that second time to take it out and run a 27 and see what I can do!

1997 202 Pro V DC with 1998 Yamaha 200. I got to 70 with my wife and I. Had quarter tank in each side an not tournament loaded. It started to walk and I saw how she was looking at me so I let off. I was tournament loaded with my fishing partner this past weekend and hit 67. It was starting to walk pretty good so I dropped a few mph and just cruised. I definitely need more seat time. I'd love to get it up on that 3rd pad ad see what it does.
