    2005 champion 198 reprop

I run a Champ 198 with 225 Optimax- I'm looking for a great all around prop. I have a pretty good Tempest plus 26 P. Great for running when the boat is light and dry! 68-69 mph. But, put two guys and full live wells, a few rain drops and some good chop and it's a bitch to get on plane! I'm looking for something that will get me up quick with some top end, Thanks

Sounds like a 25 Tempest would work better than that 26

I'd send that 26" tempest to Mark and have it repaired to factory spec after I got the Bravo xs.

    25P Bravo1XS 2015 - 2017 edition......sell the 26P Tempest after you get the B1.

Bravo 1 has a lot of followers for 198 and 206.
I went with the new Fury 4 24p and performance is better than my tempest 25 on a 206. I heard the Fury 4 is one of best all round 4 blades currently out for heavy bass rigs.

Is that 225 Optimax an XS 6000rpm limiter, or regular Opti 5750rpm limiter?

If it's the regular Opti 5750 limiter turning a 26 Tempest Plus to 5600rpm, I think I'd be looking for a 27P Bravo 1 XS.
