Anybody ever tore apart a champ 198? Wet foam issues...

Previous owner did a piss poor job of keeping the boat sealed and I missed the warning signs when I bought it. If anyone has ever been into one of these hulls please respond or if you have the knowledge about saturated foam, please respond on what kind of nightmare I'm looking at to have it fixed.

GS, I had a '94 184 that got a re-build. Wet foam from under the console to the front of the rod locker on the starboard side. This was due to some shoddy repair work for some stump cuts in the hull. I cut out the floor, and used a variety of cutting and prying tools to remove the foam (electric fillet knife, pry bar). When the foam was removed I replaced the floor, drilled spaced, 3/4 inch holes and poured expanding foam through the holes (can't remember the density. Either 4 or 8 pound). Once the foam set up I trimmed the excess sticking out of the drilled holes and sealed with bondo and three coats of resin. Good luck, BTW, I was younger then, don't know if I would tackle it again.
