HOW ABOUT IN THE BILGE..USE IT AS A SHOOT THRU HULL..
The 2D will work in the bilge and run it on we believe it's 455 KHz.
My 2D is epoxied in the bilge and works great.

Let's clarify? 2D down imaging or normal 20 degree sonar?
Sonar transducer 20 degree (puck) is fine on normal kHz setting.
Down Imaging inside the hull change to 455 kHz.
Normal 20 degree
I mounted it to the hole shot plate as tight as i could to the hull. I have an 8" setback
