    Thicken clear gel coat ??

I ordered some clear gel coat to fix gouges on my boat. I didnt pay attention to what I bought and ended up getting liquid gel. Is there a way to thicken?

    Thanks

If anyone is interested I let it set out a couple days and it has thickened up a lot. Its not exactly a paste but I think 2 or 3 coats should build up enough that I can sand smooth and buff

I'm no expert at all but doesn't the gel need a catalyst so it will "kick" and cure? If so just mix it up and when it gets a little thick put it on. Or put it on and put tape over it to hold Irvin place till it cures. I know with the gel coat kit from west marine it said to put tape over the spot so no air can get to the repair until it cures
