Moore Resevoir

Hey everyone,

Going to check out moore reservoir tomorrow morning, anyone know the water level right now? Or any tips. never been there before and not too sure what to expect.

Was there this time last year and the water was very low. We caught lots of smallmouth but not many in the keeper range. Tubes,senko and flick shake caught the majority. The wood that lined the shore looks sad sitting up on the rocks!

The water level is normal pool right now. if you are looking for smallmouth, you won't have a problem catching a lot. If you want largemouth or pike, head up toward the river. fish the grass and wood. Good luck

Well we spent most of yesterday fishing Moore, had a good time, really pretty spot. Started out great, probably 5 smallies in the first 20 minutes on cranks. Then we decided to head up and fish the grass and see if we could catch some lmb and pike. not a single bit from a pike or largemouth, couldnt find them anywhere. I know nothing about catching pike but we threw everything we had at them. fished the wood, reeds, weed beds and anything else that looked interesting.

caught a bunch of smallies though. nothing of size, couple 2.5s. all around a fun day, dont know if ill make the hike up there again though.
