    2016 Tracker Pro 170-Faulty Switch

    Friends.
I have a 2016 Tracker Pro 170 with 50 HP Mercury 4 stroke. The motor has around 15 hours on it, and the ignition switch has already bit the dust. It is totally locked up in the off position. This happened a few days ago, I was a long ways from the ramp and by myself. No boats coming by, so I messed around with it until it finally unlocked so I could make it back to the ramp. It works on and off now that it's home, but mostly locked up.

Has anybody else had this problem? Does anybody know of an upgraded switch to put in? I found out today that this is not a Mercury switch, but a Tracker part. A new switch is about $125. I guess it is going in for warranty for this, but I would prefer to put a better quality switch in if anybody knows of one. Thanks

By the way, except for this I really like the boat!

You can get some graphite at the auto parts store and give that a try. I had a old work truck that I used it on a door and it worked like a charm.
