920 hole shot problem?

Or get a four stroke. 110 degrees at Amistad, loaded for bear, full wells, two big fellas, '14 920/SHO jumps out of the hole. By myself with lower fuel, the bow hardly even raises on hole shot. Like being shot out of a slingshot.

Ya the SHO was a different story on the 920 my buddy had one and it was a lot better than the Pro XS

Just got a 2015 920 with a 250xs, hydraulic jackplate running a 25 Fury.. when I have my partner in boat and live wells full it will not get on plane? I can trim jackplate all the way up which helps but then it blows out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Warren

Could be air compressor. My brand new 2017 did the same thing within 1 week of getting it and it was a blown compressor. The have a recall on those from 2015 too.

Ranger guys add 1/4" holes for better holeshot on their 520's with 25 fury's. May be something to look in to if all else checks out since you're only spinning it 3500 on break over

I know of guy that had a Z521 Ranger and went to a 24 Fury with 5/16 holes added by Croxton. He said it helped his holeshot, but just wouldn't push his boat fast enough. That boat is bigger and heavier than yours though.
I bought that prop for my 1999, 202 Champion (older skinny 20' boat), and I get 3 mph more than a worked 25p Tempest+

I'm betting a 24 fury (stock) would be a good prop for your tourney's to get your holeshot with the added weight.

I have a 17 920.250xp12 in atlas,i put on 3 at takeoff..comes out fast with 2 peeps and full tank
