A little boat maintenance this evening

After 9 years the seals bit the dust. Put new ones in and also put in a new fuel filter while I was at it. Gonna change my water pump impeller next week. Getting a few add ons here shortly, but that'll be another thread.

Got them from Amazon. They are Sea Star Solutions brand. They average about $90 for the kit, which is end caps, spanner wrench and a few different size o rings to fit your bleeders. Sea Star said these have new ("better") seals in them. Nice aluminum end caps with Nitrile seals. I do like the multiple holes for the wrench. The port side cap is in a tighter spot. Oh and the caps I took out will go to a local hydraulic shop and I'll replace the inner seals and outer o ring for a fraction of the cost of the kit. The hydraulic guy said they have seals of higher grade than what Sea Star puts in them.

Lol! I was just waiting for somebody to tune in on that! I meant to do that awhile back but have been neglecting my duties. I figured someone would say something about that pretty pink blanket I'm using as a cover while I'm working on it. I got a blue one on one side and pink on the other. They're soft and don't scratch. You won't be able to see much of the inside of that jackplate before long.
