I just saw the Bass Hawk brochure and it says "Wood-free construction in the floor or transom."

Please do. By any chance do you know of the freeboard is the same on the Bass Hawk and Fish hawk? I am assuming it is the same exact hull between the two with different deck heights and floor plans.

Yes the deepVs are composite treated plywood. Every deep V in the market has the same flooring and decks. Except the new one that ranger came out with a few years ago. Lowe, Crestliner, Aluma craft, StarCraft, smoker craft, polar craft, Lund, Prince craft. Just to name a few.

Anyone have the old CMV specs? Seems like the same boat but with a thicker transom for a bigger motor.

The brochure specifically states, " Wood-Free construction in the floor and transom."

Well that's new, does it say the decks on top are to. As you said floors. But that could mean everything to.

If I were a betting man, I'd put the 17 footer mid to high $20's with a 115 and the 18 footer low to mid $30's with a 150

Thats only 29 lbs heavier then the fishhawk its built on, and it has 2 more gallons in the tank then the fishhawk. It is interesting that he bass hawk is 3" longer and that seems to be the only difference in the spec sheets (other then the gas tank) but its rated to 150 while the fishhawk is 115. More setback maybe?

It also seems to be on par with other 17' 8" boats, such as the Ranger 1782 Deep V, but isn't that basically what the bass hawk is, just without the WT windshield?

Not exactly, the fishhawk design is a 12 degree dead rise most of the deep Vs are a higher dead rise and a mod V is lower. To me the fishhawk hull has always been somewhere in between, which makes it good at most things but not great at anything. Smoother then say a mod V in the chop but wetter then a deep V in real waves. For example I run a fishhawk 1750 and my father runs a Mr Pike 17(now called impact) lund. My boat is exponentially smoother in say waves under 1 foot, but over... his boat is drier and much faster, but my boat can go a tad shallower and a tad faster.
