Tonight's tournament is out of Le Claire Iowa at 4:30 and ends at 8:15. Must have at least 1 person be a member for 1 week prior. Can sign up 1 participant at the ramp. September 10 pool 13 tournament is going out of Big Slough. I'll have info on our Harvester Bass Club website on times. We are doing a pool 9 tourney on August 20 in Lansing Iowa. Still time to sign up! Great fishing up there! We have 3 Tuesday nights, 1 Thursday day, and 3 weekend tourneys to do this year. We run 20 Mississippi River tournaments through the year. I am the president of the club. My contact number is on the website if you have more questions.

Thanks Rips wife and I are heading up to 14 this afternoon. Putting in on the Illinois side. I have a little club tournament this Sunday and I've never fished 14. We are gonna go scope it out. I just wanted to make sure we weren't tying up parking at whatever marina you are using. Good luck and be safe!

Best 2 days of fishing this year!!! My son and I would have had 15+ on Tuesday and another nice limit on Wed. Many on (believe it or not) wiggle warts... sweet beavers were great too! Finally able to hit some areas along the main river in reasonable current and just off of it. We never went into the back waters where we have been all season. I'll send a couple of pics later.
One great part is it seemed like we had the pool to ourselves .... light barge traffic, bridge builders, and us.

you guys smoked em! I'm so happy the water is back down. Hopefully it can stay that way the rest of the year. I think the 10K this weekend in prairie du chien had most of the local sticks up north pre fishing or at least prepping to go up there.

Smallies? Did I see smallies? Nice job! Haven't been over since the water went down. Last time I was over there was an armada of boats sitting at the mouth of Lainesville. Didn't stop to see what was going on, could have been a Garth concert by the looks of it.

Billy caught 1 real nice smallmouth. We don't get many - but there are some good ones.
The south end of Lainsville can hold some good fish if the water is clean enough. Running Lainsville up to Browns requires some real confidence that the 2' reading on your depthfinder is not going to dip and that you won't find a stump or rock or a sandbar while running on plane for a couple of miles up to Browns. We have not gone up there this year but have made that run many times ... Our luck in Browns has been very spotty and, for us, it's not that reliable.

When the water gets down the pucker factor in Lainsville goes up exponentially, especially going over those little rock piles and the last 100 yards going into Browns. I agree about Browns, place looks like heaven but the last couple years I haven't had any luck there. My last trip in Lainsville it looked like chocolate milk, but that's den a while ago. Went down to 14 last weekend, did ok but man o man there's some big boats running around down there.
