    Please explain. I had a mild blow out, (stayed in the boat) and that was bad enough.

    When the lower locks up, the prop locks up as well..not a fun ride. When you pull the kill switch, the prop doesn't lock up..so it's a little more forgiving. My Xb-21 blew a fuse at 92 and shut off...sit straight down with no problems. Not saying that it will always work out that good, but the boat acts totally different when a lower unit locks up.

    I hit a rogue wave doing 50, over surfaced prop, boat hooked and threw me against the other side of the boat. Washed two of my stickers off.

    Ya it was over before you could get worried about it. At 90+ it don't take but a second to get stupid. Stayed in the boat though.
