looking for the best prop to pad height and prop for best speed with light load. I'm running a 06 202 single console 15" rapid jack 06 225 pro xs with gen 2 torque master.

No one can answer that question...each rig is different. Anywhere from 1.5 - .5in below the pad with a 26 TXP, 3 or 4 blade, and a 27 Tempest. That's a start.

Thanks for the info. Currently running a 27 tempest 73 at 5660 w 25# water pressure. I tried raising a quarter and lost speed. I'm thinking maybe a little work on this prop and it may do better. Can anyone backup this idea?

The 27 seems to be too much prop, but stock Merc props are the worst as far being true to pitch. What is your propshaft height now?

1.5 below hoping to find the best setup and find a prop for that setup instead of the best setup for the prop that I have.
the previous owner said this prop would run 78 new so Im thinking it may be a little out of spec. 76 is the fastest this boat has been since I have owned but that was with a driver 150# lighter than me.

There is no short cut to finding what works on any individual rig, too many variables. Boat weight, load, motor hp, and driver ability. Hell driver ability alone can be 1-2 mph difference. Prime example: when Blazer built the first 625 test boat, the wife and I went to P'cola to test it and my first pass in the boat with me driving was 1.5 mph faster than anyone else.
