    Rebel1 Help

    Have a 2006 210 Blazer . Just upgrade to a 250 from a 225. I was running a 25 OT4 in the 225 turning 5600 @72-74 depending on load. Do you think the rpm will be around 5900 with the 250? I have to plug the holes bc I am blowing out now with the 250 and didn't with the 225

    It should be turning it at least 5900, if not 6000. Most ran a 26 OT4 with a 210/250 turning around 5900. One thing everyone forgets is the 10% rule with outboards. They can be + or - 10% of the stated HP....that's why you can have the same rigs running differently.

    Never heard of the 10% rule. That is good to know. I haven't opened up the 250 yet. It has been on a rack since Feb 2017 so I am taking her slow right now. Max power is 5950 correct? The 225 liked to run 1 3/4 below the pad. I assume the 250 would be the same?

    Merc or Yamaha? Both should be on the limiter at 6150. It needs to be propped to run around 5900 in the summer.
