    Cranking rod blanks

Any good suggestions on blanks for a medium depth and a deep cranking rod blank?

Rod geeks s glass 7' mhm, for shallow to med, and the 7 9 heavy for deep, I also like the rainshadow heavy 7'6" for deep cranks

Yes I have a couple of them and they are good blanks. Put a Lew's on it and head out.

Right on that's what I was leaning towards. I've got a bunch of other mhx rods and love them.
    Thanks

Rod Geeks Sglass. The MHM will handle pretty much everything except the big deep divers (10XD's etc).

batson has some good crankbait blanks in their revelation line. call get bit outdoors, they can pull a rod from their inventory that will do what you need, id wager.

If your fishing grass a composite blank, if your fishing wood and open water a glass blank! Glass blank I'd recommend is a seeker S-glass blank.

I've built quite a few rods using MHX blanks. CB-905-blend and CB-903-blend are both great blanks. They seem to match their lure and line weight ratings well. CB-843-blend is a little light for me. I was hoping it was just a 6 inch shorter 903, but it's quite a bit lighter. The SB-812-blend is a great all around blank for just about any and all moving baits with the exception of really big/deep crankbaits. When I go as a co-angler I always include the 812.
