    Question Maintenance cost

Question, what's a normal charge (parts & labor) for a full water pump replacement job on a 2008 150 EFI ? (s/n 1B519622) ? I did it myself last time, but looking to see what it would cost.

Also a rant. With today's availability in materials technology, why can't Mercury come up with an impeller that will last ? I know, they want income from parts, but it seems so easy to design something better.

Longevity seems to be related to use. The more you use them the longer they live. I got 4 years out of my last one. If it sat more than a month I'd go rotate the flywheel part of a turn to keep the impeller from taking a set.
1995 Allison XB-2003 225 Super Mag. It's slow and I'm ok with that.
