    Re: (Bassmeister)

Mike, I think we should have a Sprint Mod page for boat & trailer bling, seperate from all the pics page where can share what we've done with others and it would be Sprint Boat specific, can we do that ???? That way we keep'm seperate. For now I'll post a seperate post for the control if anybody has an interest.

    Re: (SPRINT 290DC)

    Thank you,
It's been fun to hear people at the ramps comment about the brand new boat. Nobody believes its really a 97 model.

    Re: (rculp377)

I thought I would put up a couple of pics of my 2000 Sprint 221 DC. I bought the boat late last Spring (no motor ). It needed some work, but I always wanted a Sprint after riding in one of my friend's Sprint. I have had a few boats in my time, but the Sprint had one of the best rides than any boat I been in. I wet sanded and polished the whole boat, repaired a few stress cracks, replaced windshields, dash, and bow panels, switches, and rewired some things. I am going to replace the carpet, and will be getting a motor (225 or 250 ) in the spring. The motor will be attached to a 10" powder coated (red ) jack plate that I have purchased from Hydro Dynamics. Also, I am putting new fenders on the trailer. When I am done, this boat will be RIGHT !!!. I will be putting up more pics when the work gets done.

Had a few good days to do some work. Replaced mono leaf springs with multi leaf that EZ loader sent me for the spring call back. Replaced all bearings, races, etc in all the wheels. Also, carpeted new fenders and installed. Boat and trailer coming along slow, but surely.

Well now that the cold temps are gone, I decided to start my re-carpet job. I started with the hard part first...The dreaded console area. After removing the carpet, the floor need some repair ( the leveling coat was damaged, no rot anywhere.) I re-leveled, and started to lay down the Bass Cat carpet in Ash color. Here is a few pics as I go...more to come as I get it done....The last thing I will do is install the carpet trim..

    I removed all the seats.

I guess were all gonna have to be "G" rated now

I don't quite understand how we can have "R" rated jokes and I got axed for a well endowed lady wearing a top that was clearly "PG".......

    Re: Let's see 'em!! (Bassmeister)

Best Ive gotten so far is about 68.5 mph... I know I could get more with a light load and lots of tweaking.. but to me the hole shot is more important than top end.. and right now she's getting up pretty quick and still can run on down the lake..

    Im happy...

Good numbers Mike, I suffer a little on hole shot turning a 26 Raker or 27 Gade in the heat but I refuse to get rid of the BPS store in my boat!!

Thanks. We just celebrated our first year together :) It's got a 175 johnny on the back that pushes it pretty good. I got a deal on it that I couldn't turn down
