    Opinions on VT2 vents

Just curious of everyone's opinions. Good or bad? Pros and cons. I'm really hesitate about drilling three inch holes in my livewell lid

Best thing I have ever done for fish care. Don't try to do some $5 hardware store fix.....These things are specifically designed to do what they do. You can run your pumps 1/2 as much and the fish will be twice as lively.

Best $$$$ you can spend on a boat in my opinion.

But does it help on C models with plexiglass slides? I think air will move around but seems like you'd need to drill several holes in plexiglass

Did that. Don't regret it for a moment. Just two holes that match up to the VT2's.

Can't hurt. Look for a 3in hole saw to borrow, or you'll spend $20 drilling 2 holes, and use anti-seize lube to prevent galling when tightening the ss bolts.

I have everything but the nerve to drill the holes lol. I guess it isn't going to weaken the lid or cause any negative affects to anything

I love mine. Don't do like my brother did and use a 4 inch hole saw, let's just say he wasn't real pleased with his results lol.

I probably wouldn't have installed them myself, but I bought a used boat that had them and I will install them on any new boats I get. Just fished on Barkley with 91/92 degree surface temps. No dead fish! I haven't noticed any weakening of the livewell lids. All of my other lids could use some stiffening though :(.

run the hole saw backwards to get it started through the carpet so it doesn't grab and tear a big chunk out of it.

Could you just swap out the handles for these and then not have to cut additional holes? Then cut the bottom o

Run your holesaw in reverse and it will make a clean cut through the carpet!

Turn one forward; turn the other backward. Tell me the difference. I'm buying neither. Give me the physics.
