    300XS or 250 Pro XS?

Ok let's see how many different opinions we get on this one.

I have a new 210 Elite at the factory waiting on me to pick it up. This is a resale boat, but I don't currently have a motor for it. I'm really considering a Racing 300XS for it. Should I risk it and go for the all out speed of the boat, or just stick with the 250 Pro XS?

With a 250 it would be eligible for any tournament and I don't think that would be the case with the 300 but I could be wrong. So the buyer market for the boat might be larger with a 250.

IMO a 250. If you want a few more out of her you could go with lithium batteries and see if a "light and dry" model is available. If you really wanna go big you can put a 400R on her. That could get interesting.

I'd say 250 for the tournament reasons, but truth be told. A man with money will be the one buying it and he might prefer the 300.

For resale proxs250, if I was buying the boat it would be a Honda 250.
seems to still be a lot of failures on the SHO and Mercury.

I am with Hickory 250 Honda ,after having one on my playctaft I think it has the power to get some speed with the right prop. The sho is bad ass but with the issues I would still go 4 stroke of something .And no oil to buy is really sweet.

Honda is a good motor for sure. Just don't know how fast it would sell in Texas.

I'm with hickory as well ( might also recommend the zuke 250ss), but sounds like he's wanting a merc. I'd go 250 just because as said above, most are looking for a 250 on a tourney boat.

They definitely have a good reputation all over. I think some of the concern might be they don't have a lot of dealerships that serve them at this point. But definitely a good engine. Suzuki seems to have a good engine as well.
