    La Crosse Conditions

We have gotten a ton of rain this week and our rivers are flooded in northern IL. How are things looking at La Crosse? I have a tournament there in a couple weeks and am wondering what kind of shape the river is in and if it's high and muddy how long does it usually take to clear up. Any info is appreciated. Predictions are welcomed.

Do you know the site Rivergages.com? It gives you all the river info. Lake Link site has a Mississippi river pool 9 Genoa thread and a Lacrosse thread on the Wisconsin reports that gets regular updates.

Big storms blew in last week causing a freak rise in water levels, from 5.5ft up to 8.5ft. I use this website to keep tabs on current stage level: http://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydro...arx&gage=LACW3

Water is still kinda like chocolate milk - if you're fishing in a couple weeks it should clear up by then. By the end of this week water is suppose to drop back down to a "normal" 5-6ft.

Also, right across from Brownsville, MN on the main channel (between 689-690 mile marker) there is a dredging operation going on. Be extra cautious if you're planning to use that route to head south, someone lost an engine this past weekend. Not sure if they're still going to be there when you're here, but just a heads up.
