    2009 Skeeter Trailer question

It appears that I may have a brake caliper sticking. Any anyone ever change one of these.
Any tips or useful you tube videos?

    Thanks!!

It's a DB 35. They make a left and a right caliper. $60.00 Thru pacific trailers complete with pads. Two bolts, remove brake line. reinstall new caliper, bleed system and your done..

If you want to spend more pesos you can buy the whole assembly for $215.00. That includes new spindle, caliper, rotor/hub and vault system all ready to install. Remove spindle from torsion axel. Remove brake line. Reinstall and bleed.

Good info! Is the DB 35 for all 2009 trailers or just for his size of boat?

You could pull the caliper apart and clean it. I did mine and they have been good so far. You can pop the piston out with compressed air. Make sure it's not too much pressure or it will come flying out.

I believe 2002 and up trailers use the DB35.

I found your comment on pistons flying out with compressed air pretty funny. Always have to make sure your face isn't in the path..haha

Call me crazy but on my 2001 EZ loader I removed the brakes. They kept locking up and not properly functioning so I took them off. Never have an issue stopping, even quickly. Might sound crazy, but the crappy trailer may be what keeps me from purchasing another Skeeter.

Not a great idea but if works for you I understand. Ez loader doesn't make the braking system, UFP does. Its a very simple system and works well but does require maintenance and some knowledge of how the system works.
I believe Skeeter is make their own trailers now.

I send EZ-loader my trailer serial number and they sent back a new set of brakes...they needed changing out anyway.
