    Uneven tire wear

I'm getting uneven wear on the inside of the tire on my back axle. I have max PSI in all four tires. Only the one is showing wear and it is showing a lot on the inside half of the tire. Probably have 500-600 miles on them. Any idea the cause? The fix?

Most likely the spindle is bent. Could also be loose bearings. Jack it up and see if there is any play in the wheel.

You didn't say what brand of tire you have. I had a set of China made Marathons and one worn badly. I replaced it with the spare and it wore normally. Check all the things that CatFan said, but it could also just be a bad tire.

my first thought since its just the one side--bent spindle -- or was not aligned correctly to start with.

I had China Marathons on a Ranger dual axle. The front port tire wore completely out on a trip to Ark,2410 miles round trip. The inside of the tire was scalloped out to where the steel belt was showing. Replaced it with the same and the new tire wore evenly. Had to be the tire.

I'm having the same issue on my 2010 Ranger Trail Trailer. The port side front tire is wearing on the outside. Swapped it with my spare and it's doing the same thing. They are Good year marathon tires and i'll jack it up to check for play. I didn't notice any when i swapped the spare in.

Can you do a wheel alignment on a trailer?

    Thanks,

Had Carlisle tires new in 2015 and two were trashed at 16k miles, I have 11k on my Goodyear endurance and I can not see a repeating pattern. And boy am I looking. 500-600 miles seams very fast tho, rotate the tires while you have it jacked up, rotate all four. Also max psi in all four tires may not be best, my trailer calls for 50 psi cold, and they got to 68psi when driving, I now run endurance 65 max, but only roll 61-62 and they run 69-70 hot, when they were 65 they weren't flat so it was to much. Now if your tounge is high you may want 53psi and 62... my mechanic buddy said to me "it's not NASCAR" but I bet to differ
