370 hull ranger prop height setup

where do you get the 3 1/2 inches on a 370 ranger hull? is it from the bottom of the hull are from the lower step???

Always measure from the lowest part of the hull normally under the drain plug and if your motor is bolted to the transom and you don't have a jack plate you can't run that high usually 4 1/4" under is where you would run.

tks, got a jack plate, shade tree mechanic said my moter was too high so he adjusted, just measured an im now 6 1/2 from pad to center shaft, lost 4mph and 400 rpm, let me get my 3/4 tools out..
